This is why everybody will benefit from revolution everywhere.
If you are currently marginalized in a society anywhere, you anyway have nothing to lose. Any violent upheaval can only result in a situation where you are better off.
If you are a young man with political ideas, a revolution is your chance to go from zero to hero in a matter of a few weeks. As a hero you will be admired and certainly, you will win the heart of the woman you love.
If your are a young man and your religion is Islam, a revolution is a golden opportunity to die a comfortable sudden death as martyr, and in paradise be rewarded with many wives who become virgins again overnight, every night. Certainly the best sex anybody could imagine.
If you live in a poor Third World country, you are happy if the countries of the developed world suffer internal strive. This will keep them busy with their own problems, and maybe level world wealth just a little bit. If you are a woman, and your problem is that the man you love is a playboy, an increased level of violence in the society where you live can only benefit you. Because in a violent environment, a man values the safety of a home with a woman who truly loves him. The more harsh the outside world, the more romantic your relationship.
If you live in the countryside, you anyway hate those lazy city dwellers who have no respect for the producers of the food they eat. Serves them right if the violence in the course of a revolutions destroys their cities.
If you are a dictator anywhere in a Third World country, or just a dictator's aide, you need a certain degree of violence to get away with a wild private life. Because public attention will then be on political issues, not your orgies.
If you a rich man, you may want to donate fair amounts of your money to revolutionary causes. Not exactly in front of your doorstep, but a little further away. The more destruction there is around the world, the more valuable the wealth which you can salvage.
If you are a capitalist, you know the problem of saturated markets. There must first be destruction of goods so that there will be new demand.
Now, if you are a youth in a developed country, and you are just sick of it all, you may find that going on smashing shop windows and igniting cars is just fun... and you have the silent support of the capitalists (as long as it's not their private cars you burn).
And if you are just bored with the world as it presents itself, revolutions are like a tombola. It's entertaining to watch what the outcome will be.
Any hey, if you are a journalist or photographer, revolutions are your opportunity to achieve fame. Because during revolutions, people who otherwise just consume soaps, all of a sudden are interested in the news.
So as you can see: anyway you turn it, everybody wants revolutions. So, let's get it on.
